Leeds Rhinos 2007 ESL Champions
Rhinos captain Kevin Sinfield has hailed Tony Smith as the greatest ever coach the Leeds club has ever had.
Leeds were outstanding as they overturned the odds to stun mighty St Helens with a 33-6 success at Old Trafford.
Sinfield, whose goals saw him become the first Leeds player to score in every game in a season, has no doubt how Smith will be remembered at Headingley Carnegie.
He said: "I said before the game he would be the greatest Leeds coach ever - so there's your line. He's been fantastic and leaves the club in great shape."
Leeds, who finished second in the table, took the longer route to the final after losing to Saints a fortnight ago - but Sinfield believes last week's win over Wigan underlined their determination.
He added: "In the last couple of weeks the belief and application the guys have shown, I have never seen before at the club.
"After Wigan, we all knew and believed - and you could see it."
