Sparky proves a big attraction 4 February 2008 The Pirtek Parramatta Eels were the centre of attention for supporters at the NRL's Centenary of Rugby League Fan Day at ANZ Stadium. A large number of the more than 15,000 strong crowd on hand wore Parramatta colours, with over a quarter of those registered listing the Eels their favourite team when filling out the registration form. Eels players spent a large portion of the afternoon talking with fans and signing autographs, while they also took part in skills and drills clinics, kicking contests, and the NRL's 400 player photograph. The Eels stand was also well frequented across the day with all posters in stock going within 30 minutes of opening. Some 2,000 Parra TV flyers were also handed out to those in the crowd.
